The fiery law, God’s standard laid,
We heard upon the mountain.
The land we saw, the promise made,
We trusted not the Fountain.
There was war beyond the Jordan.
Our hearts refused, the promise spurned,
The land we would not take it.
Our hands we used, the lesson learned,
The faithless cannot make it.
There was war beyond the Jordan.
But Christ is here, the faithful One,
All promises believing.
He draws us near, the vict’ry won,
Now through the water leading.
He’s won the war beyond the Jordan.
All glory His, our risen Lord,
We bless His name forever.
Our hope is this, that Christ He lives,
And He will leave us never.
There’s no more war beyond the Jordan.
There’s no more war beyond the Jordan.
We have a home beyond the Jordan.
I decided to put this one to music. Take a listen below!
